I was wondering if Steinberg would ever consider releasing a utility/tool to Cubase users that will allow us to check the integrity of a cubase file, i.e: to see if the file is possibly corrupt? A tool that gives a detailed analysis of a cubase file. This would be useful to check if, for instance, I convert a project from an earlier version of cubase to the latest version, to make sure it has no problems.
+1. I have needed something like this a few times. FWIW, the only way I’ve found to fix corrupted files is do a “Save Project As” to a new directory. That seems to rebuild pointers and such but it’s a bit of a nuisance.
