File name doesn't correspond to instrument in Print mode

Trying to export all my orchestral parts as a batch to PDFs in Print mode. But the file names don’t change for each instrument but revert to the name of whatever layout is selected at the top in Write, Engrave modes etc. So only one part is exported.

For example, if I select Flute 1 in Write mode and then switch to Print mode, I get this, which is correct

If I then select Flute 2 in Print mode, the file name stays Flute 1 and I have no option to even change the file name manually that I can find.

So it seems that I have to select each individual part in a non-Print mode to get it to export that part as a PDF. Yet I seem to remember it not being an issue in a previous generation of these PDFs, so there must be something I am forgetting etc.

As the text indicates, that specific file name is just a preview, showing you an example of what a file name will look like, given the recipe underneath. You can still select multiple layouts to export, and the file name for each will be calculated correctly.

And as you wrote, so it is, asherber. The parts all exported correctly this time… and I feel quite foolish.

Yet it didn’t work last time, perhaps because I didn’t have an instrument name selected at the top in Write mode, but instead the full score, and then went to Print mode and selected the instrument layouts?

I’m not in front of my computer, but it shouldn’t matter what you have selected in Write.
