Good afternoon,
I have installed the latest version of Elicenser control center and activated my new elicenser key because I lost the original one, they gave me a temporary activation code while everything is fine, it recognizes it well. But when I open cubase artist 8.5, this message appears and it cannot be opened
“eLicenser POS Error Message File Synsoacc.bundle could not be located in the application support folder.”
What should I do ?
I have downloaded an update of Cubase Artist 8.5 for Mac OS Yosemite 10.10 (which is my machine) but the installation is blocked, I downloaded it several times and it turns out the same.
And I can’t install the download assistant because my MacBook Pro is older than the included versions…
Same issue here with Cubase 14. As the Steinberg Download Assistant suggested that the eLicenser Software can be uninstalled, I did it according the the online documentation.
After that, Cubase 14 (or earlier versions) would fail to start with the message “File Synsoacc.bundle could not be located in the Application Support folder.”
Reinstalling eLicenser helps.
Why does the Steinberg Download assistent propose to uninstall a component which is necessary for Cubase to run?
Additional info:
The error occurs when die Cubase start up splash screen shows “Initialising: vstconnect.bundle”
The problem is definitely related to the VST Connect version. I removed the outdated VST Connect VST3 (version 5.5.10.659) from the macOS Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Steinberg folder.
For some reason, that was not sufficient. Then I ran the VST Connect PRO (SE) 5 installation from the Steinberg Download Assistant.
Now Cubase 14 starts without requiring the eLicenser libraries.
However, I now have VST Connect PRO installed, for which I have seem to have no license ( not anymore, although I bought one back in 2020 but it wasn’t available for upgrade to Steinberg licensing - probably was for version 4). Next problem is how to properly get rid of VST Connect PRO as I have not found any documentation on uninstalling VST Connect at all.
