How is the filter “Notes and Chords” (not “Notes In Chords”) used? If I select a range of measures and the use the filter “Notes and Chords,” only the notes are selected and not the chords. I would have thought that it would select both notes and chords. Am I doing something wrong? Of course I can select the notes and select the chords separately, but that seems to be the hard way. Solution?
You need to use the system track if you want to select both (other than using the marquee tool to select everything).
Alternately, you could do the notes first separately, then select the first and last chord and press Shift+Alt/Opt+A to select all the chords between them.
The filter selects chords, not chord symbols.
In addition to @DanielMuzMurray’s suggestions, v6 has a new command, Add Chord Symbols to Selection, which can be invoked from the jump bar.

I knew that, but one would think when the filter is called “Notes and Chords,” it would select both notes and chords….

I understand the confusion, but Chords are not Chord Symbols!

Thanks. The new “Add Chord Symbols to Selection” solved the problem.
