Filter out incoming MIDI channels (USB)?

Since Cubase doesn’t have an “In” channel for MIDI (only out), how would i filter out MIDI-channels for a specific track so that i can receive e.g only MIDI In for channel 2?

The Transformer is supposed to be able to help with this. But i can’t figure out how.

I put in Channel, Unequal and “2” as paramter for channel 2, and then i select function “Delete”. I’m still receiving on all channels from the external device (USB-Sequencer).

Quite Certainly by using the input transformer instead of the transformer insert.
