Hey all,
I’ve been programming an Akai APC40 as a Generic Remote, and so far it’s been great. However, I’d like to assign the LC/HC On/off switches to buttons, and can’t seem to find them anywhere in the Device Setup. Are these unassignable or am I just not looking in the right place? I’m running Cubase 8.0.20

It seems, you are unfortunately right. In the Mixer and/or VST Mixer, there is no “Pre” section of the MixConsole at all. And there is ni dedicated Command for it.
The only One way, I found, is to use Quick Control for HC and LC and then assign this Quick Control to the Generic Remote device. But it’s not very straightforward, to be honest.
That’s disappointing, but glad to know it’s not just me. It’s strange that part of the MixConsole is just left out, having those switches and the phase button controllable by Generic remote would be awesome
Would be nice if Steny could add those pre cc to the generic remote.
