As a long time user of Cubase (Atari ST, Falcon) I started looking at VST Live in the end of 2022. I saw in this program the future of my solo live configuration, after using devices as Alesis DataDisk and Miditemp MSX.
It’s been a big adventure, and since a few weeks only, my new setup is fully functional and extremely portable, and I thought it could help or give some ideas to share it with you. The computer I use is a Onexplayer X1 Pro with 64 Gb Ram and 4 To SSD, and the mixer is a Behringer Flow8. In some situations I use a Tascam Model12 instead, this mixer allows me to add mics and instruments and to have a direct control on the VST Live Groups volume and Eq.
Everything is foot controlled by a Behringer FCB1010 and a Paint Audio Midi Captain Mini6 Midi pedal boards. I replaced the FCB1010 original chip with a Wino2 and plugged a M-Vave Bluetooth Midi converter into the Midi Captain.
The whole setup fits in a backpack. My dream hands free configuration has come true, thanks to you @musicullum and @Spork , I’m really grateful!
