Fine marking default position - is it possible to change its default behaviour?

Hi,

For some reason if I place the Fine marking on the Bb major, where I want it to be, this is the default position Dorico places it…not very nice I would say. Is there any setting I can tweak to achieve a better default result?

Thanks!

Ciao @mikeheels,

I don’t know if you need correct playback, but with the grid set to eight note, just moving the Fine twice gives me the desired result:

(If you need correct playback, then you can move it in Engrave mode=non semantics movement)

Normally the FINE would be on the barline (because that is where things end), and Dorico positions it here by default…

Thanks everyone.

Sure I had found a workaround, or moved it in Engrave mode…I posted my question for the sake of possibly improving the program as it fell weird that that would be the default position when pasted at that specific point.

I disagree that it should go at the end of the bar. In this specific pieces yes it could and the meaning would be clear, but in other instances the Fine marking is placed specifically in points that do not coincide with the end of a bar

Ok, but it is always right aligned to that rhythmical position, per default. You wanted a center aligned Fine, which I believe is only reachable, at least visually, with the described methods.
