Hi everyone,
I just installed only the basic app upgrade as I didn’t know how much space was required for various instruments and after first opening I have to share this reflection: I’m not used to complain about upgrades, features and so on but this time I would say I’m a bit disappointed as the only relevant, visible, new feature I noticed - apart from new instruments avalaibility - is the black keyboard option…
In general this looks more like a new instruments promotion sale than a real app upgrade and I would expect something that other users asked for in the past like - to make just a single example - an improved metering system (channels and master bus input/output levels) that really would help in production; that said: I love Cubasis and I’m using it with pleasure and I know the upgrade itself is for free but I would spend more gladly for somethink like that in the future. My two cents…
Just skipped thru the halion instr… great library… great extension…
Alltho having loops not indicated/seperated is a bit confusing and no pads for the drumkits?
Other than that im content
I wasn’t using cubasis all that much. But today I wanted do make something on my iPad Air. I can’t remember how it was before, but the gui looks like a just bigger, inflated iPhone version… is that possible?
I’m very excited about the addition of the instruments to cubasis! Keep it coming Steinberg so I can delete some of the third party plugins and have a more compatible project when I transfer my mobile projects to Cubase 13 to produce my ideas.
now let’s get Iconica, groove agent, and padshop
Great update seriously, I already bought all the new instruments.
While I’m pleased that Cubasis is getting an upgrade I was disappointed to find it really didn’t amount to much more than an offer to buy Steinbrg sound generators.
The app store is awash with every conceivable type of synths, samplers etc
What CANNOT be purchased elsewhere is a refined user interface that delivers a fast efficient workflow… things such as metering on the track list,
collapsible/hideable tracks for groups, numeric fields for region length/position, customisable playhead/cycle behaviour, aux send controls on the mixer, more reliable freeze/unfreeze for timestretched audio, a dedicated punch in/out strip independent of the cycle function, saveable presets for channel strips, a better song Save (SaveAs) function etc, etc.
That said Cubasis is still a great App, just badly in need of a real upgrade, imho.
