In the “Layout Options” under “Staves and Systems” one can set a “Fixed number of bars per system”. Today I tried to set 4 bars per system. My song started with a quarter note up beat.
Unfortunately in that case the up beat counts as a bar. So the 4 bars per system layout was one off from what I initially intended. (up beat + 3 bars instead of up beat + 4 bars)
I think especially for lead sheets it would make sense to ignore the up beat. I couldn’t find any option to do that though. Is it possible and if not could this be an option for the future?
