I am on Windows 11 and I have been using Cubase with FL stuido ASIO for about a year, recently it does not produce any sound at all. Cubase does not read any midi/audio signal nor produce sound. I change the ASIO into ASIO4all and it works. However, I still want to use the previous one since it does not block other audio output like ASIO4all does. I tried switching and resetting the I/O setting, reinstalling cubase and FL studio, using cubase element 12 and cubase 13, but to no avail. I thought maybe FL studio ASIO is broken, but it works perfectly well on Protools and FL studio on my computer, please help.
Hi and welcome to the forum,
As you mentioned, other ASIO driver is working in Cubase. Therefore I wouldn’t expect the issue in Cubase, but rather in the driver.
Do you have its latest update installed, please?
I installed the latest FL studio ASIO driver, it is still the same, works on FL studio and Protools, but not cubase.
Hi,
Did you install it as administrator, please?
Could you try to reinstall Cubase as administrator?
Isn’t there any Windows permission setting?
Hi, I tried reinstalling it as administrator, and run it as/not as admin but it still does not produce sound. Occasionally, when I flip the I/O setting back and forth, FL studio ASIO produces a super broken and noisy sound regardless it is midi or audio track. But most of the time it just won’t do( meter doesn’t even go up)
