Is there any way I can make the Flow heading longer? I want to include a text with {@otherinformation@}, but it’s too short for everything it contains…
Flow Heading margins doesn’t affect to the text, only to the space between Flow Heading and Music
For now, the only solution is to set a custom bottom margin for the heading in Override Flow Headings and then enlarge the text frame manually each time.
Do you mean taller? Just make the text frame in the flow heading taller (or add a second frame, if you want).
I don’t think you can make the flow heading taller than the canvas provided in the editor, though. And text frames don’t expand or contract to fit what’s inside them, so if you need different heights for different flows, I think you’ll need flow heading overrides.
You can make the frame taller, but I don’t think you can change the height of the area that the frame sits in. In other words, I think this is as tall as you can make the text frame. I could be missing something, though.
Edit: Interestingly, you can give the frame a height in the Properties panel which is taller than the canvas. It won’t reflect in the flow heading editor, but Dorico will respect that when it lays out the page.
I create additional Flow Headings with larger text boxes: “Medium”, “Large”, “Enormous”, etc. Then apply a Flow Heading change as required, either as a page override in Engrave or using Flow Heading Override on the Layout in Setup mode.
