Flow Title Cont'd

Is there a setting to have the flow title show on subsequent pages of multipage flows but with “CONT’D” to indicate that the flow is continued? Not in the page header, but in the default flow header position. I know I could create a text frame at the top of the page where I want the text, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to have this happen automatically. Not something I use often, but for certain projects it would be really helpful.

There’s not an automatic way of doing this, no.

You could add an extra text frame to the Default page template that includes the flow title token with “con’d” after it? Or depending on how many pages you would want to use this formulation vs the “standard” layout, do that as a custom page template that you then manually insert?

Could you post an image showing what you are aiming for?

Thanks @Lillie_Harris . I see if I can figure that out.

I uploaded my score, as any time I try to insert a text box where I would want it, I end up breaking the layout, which is what I’m trying to avoid.

This is a worksheet, so it’s probably not a common use-case (everyone is always trying to figure out how to make flow headings not appear). Basically, I would like for the flow heading to appear at the top of the page, under the page header, simply showing Flow Title - Cont’d.

Here is one way. I created a new Page Template based on the Default one. I added a text box at the top to simulate a Flow Header. I then put a Page Template change on the pages that needed it.

Hey, @Craig_F , are you one of the developers? It says the file was made in a later version of Dorico, and I’m up to date as far as I can tell. Not sure if it will matter…

Anyway, I see how that works now, and that makes sense. It looks just like I had expected. Thank you!

So, with the text token for FlowTitle at the top of the page, it will display the title of whichever flow is showing at that place in the music?

Both @Lillie_Harris and @Craig_F gave the solution for this. Thank you!

5.1.10 was released earlier today.

Color me surprised!
