Flows break page despite settings

I’m going to move on for now by making everything into one big frame, but I am getting these page breaks between flows even though

  • Allow on existing page is selected
  • There are no frame or system breaks anywhere in the document (signposts are ‘on’ in the screenshot)
  • There are no master page overrides

Since I will almost certainly need to come back to edit this piece, I look forward to what your take on this is, and perhaps some new suggestions that might lighten my darkness. I have been through multiple help pages, videos, and a whole lot of posts here in the forum. I’m still coming up empty. Thanks in advance.

Hi @phase_Shift, it is quite difficult to know what is going on from a screenshot. Could you please post the project (or a cut-down version of it)?

A flow will always start on a new System.
From your screenshot it looks to me as if you are expecting the new flow to start after the last bar (26) of your previous flow.

To have two separate flows appear side-by-side, you’ll need to draw separate music frames.

Flows can only follow on the same page in a new system below the preceding flow.

Alternatively, keep the music in the same flow, and use eg a coda to insert a small separation within the system.
