Hello,
Could you please confirm this behavior?
Steps :
Launch DAW.
Create new project.
Insert Halion 7.
Select “FM Synth” (Init FM Synth) on Home menu.
For example, select TX81Z 1 Algorithm.
Click Operator 4 icon.
Change Operator 4 Volume 0 to 99.
Click Mute Operator.
Play any note.
Expected Result :
Operator 4 icon is grayed out and the operator is muted.
Actual Result :
Mute Operator icon color changes blue to yellow.
However Operator 4 icon isn’t grayed out and the operator isn’t muted.
Note :
When also click Operator 4 icon, the icon is grayed out, Mute Operator color changed Blue to Yellow and the Operator 4 is muted on Halion 7.1.0.646.
Using Envilonment :
OS : Windows 11 Home 24H2
DAW : Cubase 14.0.10.144

I didn’t do your test case, but I have observed the same behavior when noodeling around with my usual FM drone stuff. MacOS.
mesayre-san,
Thank you for your confirmation.
This behavior began to occur after updating from Halion 7.1.0.646 to 7.1.20.775.
vbre-san,
Thank you for your confirmation.
This behavior seems to occur regardless of Win / Mac OS, doesn’t it?

Yes, based on what’s reported in this thread the issue seem to occur on both Win and Mac OS.
Confirmed, looks like someone disconnected the UI from the parameter.
Same on my mac here.
Thanks @Yoshi2069 for the great error description and detailed reproduction steps!
As a (inconvenient) workaround, it is still possible to access the mute parameter in the parameter list view:

Another workaround: shift-clicking on the operator in the algorithm display to deactivate it does work for me.
