Focus of Sample Editor/Key Editor

Why does “focus” of the two editors work differently? I find that Key editor makes much more sense.. and would be great if Sample Editor could be adapted.. (Zoom is set to Clip-based as @Johnny_Moneto once pointed out, but this does not help).

Simple example // feature request: make Sample Editor follow Transport

My transport is at bar 5. Pressing Ctrl-E for the MIDI part nicely brings up the editor with Bar 5 visible

Note: if transport is fully outside the event, Key editor will bring me to the beginning, which is also expected behavior

Pressing Ctrl-E for the audio always brings up beginning of the event (Bar 1).. I need to scroll first.

Example 2 // small issue: Cubase takes original event position as reference
Now.. let’s cut up both events and move them around (back by 2 bars in this example). Also moving my transpoart to Bar 7

Ctrl-E on the second MIDI event works nicely again:

On the audio event.. it brings me to Bar 4..?!? There’s not even an event here. Again, I would need to scroll to get to the actual start. I assume that Cubase takes the location of the original event where I did the cut into account (which was at Bar 4), that’s why it’s bringing me there.. Quite confusing, esp if you do a lot of slices of your audio..
