I recently upgraded from Artist 7.5 and a TC interface to Pro 8.5 and a Saffire PRO 40 Interface.
Before buying the Pro 40, I read that is supports DIRECT MONITORING in Cubase, yet when I go to click the Direct Monitor button it is GREYED out. Am I missing something?
In the mix control software, set Mix 1 for your monitor outputs. You can now control the volume of the inputs and DAW 1 and 2. No need to do anything in Cubase, it is all done in Mix Control.
The direct monitor button in Cubase is about “ASIO Direct monitoring” which the saffire obviously does not support, but offers zero latency ( or “direct”-) montoring via its mixing software.
