Folder/Group Track Hybrids

Right now you can have a Folder track for organization, and you can have a Group track as a sort of Bus.

You should be able to have Folders that act as Group tracks. Giving Groups the ability to collapse and clean up the workspace!

Exactly! This is exactly what I want. Ableton/Bitwig style group tracks where the group tracks is quite literally….a group. And can be collapsed to clean up the screen. But can do all the things a group tracks can do.

The folder track does have a place tho for orchestration where you want to maintain your routing but organize things a bit

Then please express your opinion in that topic in order to give it more weight.

I believe you are the 106,230th person to state that request. I was 103,774  It’s in the features request pile for sure.

…Huh?

please read the linked thread,

it’s a tried and tired topic, with many reasons listed in there why Cubase does not and potentially should not do this.

There are far too many posts with variations of “Reason/Ableton.Bitwig/U-Name-It has A-Feature-I-Like and so Cubase must have it, too”. It’s boring.
Just because there is a feature in another program does not mean that said feature must therefore exist in Cubase. Or any other program, for that matter. The architecture of a program may not even allow it. These can’t just be added.

I wonder, do the Ableton forums have posts of a similar nature? “Cubase has this feature, Ableton should, too!”

I think you’re being a bit rude here.
People should be allowed to speak their mind and make requests. And to point out how the requested feature should work by referring another DAW’s implementation seems to be rather helpful to me.

He asked for an explanation. That’s my opinion. And people are rude to me all the time.

Oh you’re one of those yell at the moon types eh?

You know it’s ok to have a solid feature in another daw but still prefer Cubase and think that feature would still fit at home in Cubase…right?

Man get a life

See what I mean.

Well the good news and the bad news, is that the linked thread has 120 votes.

I don’t have much of an opinion either way. It’s been discussed to death in the linked thread.

opinion != explanation

You can tell the difference between the 2 by realising that no one cares about your opinion

And people are rude to me all the time.

So you respond with more rudeness, especially towards someone who’s presumably never been rude to you. You’re a waste of oxygen buddy.

People like this feature, and they want their fav DAW to have it.

You mean like you just did? See how that works?

Your comment is vile, sir. Telling another human being they are “a waste of oxygen” is absolutely unacceptable, particularly under the auspices of presuming to correct someone else for being rude, who (to use your own words) “has never been rude to you.”

Is this what the forum has become? I don’t agree with @Googly_Shakespeare all that time, but I respect his opinion, and I note it as such: an “opinion,” which he “explained.”

This kind of post, along with “get a life” posts are simply unacceptable, and it serves no purpose. Maybe try to illustrate your point by way of example, rather than being hypocritical.

Explain to me in what wise I was rude. With examples. And context.

I don’t. And you have the gall to tell me to shut up?

And you seriously think anyone cares about yours?

Forgot to add: Blocked. Rant away.

This is really not okay.

And it has been (and still is) discussed in the linked topic, where already 124 people voted in favor of this feature. It would be better to go over there in order to give it even more gravity.
