Right now you can have a Folder track for organization, and you can have a Group track as a sort of Bus. You should be able to have Folders that act as Group tracks. Giving Groups the ability to collapse and clean up the workspace!

please read the linked thread, it’s a tried and tired topic, with many reasons listed in there why Cubase does not and potentially should not do this.

I think you’re being a bit rude here. People should be allowed to speak their mind and make requests. And to point out how the requested feature should work by referring another DAW’s implementation seems to be rather helpful to me.

Make a combined folder & group track; was: Make folder tracks = Group tracks Cubase

Not really sure what purpose folder tracks serve above just making a group track with a fader and channel capabilities / inserts for the selected contents. I think the current implementation just leads to messy projects that are harder to navigate. As in ableton, far better solution is: Select tracks → group, automatically have DAW send them to their own bus with fader on the group track. Click the group track in arrange window, it shows contents just like a folder track would. Way more elegan…
