Forum site issues

Just wanted to report a few problems I noticed with the forum site.

  1. The “Contact us” section at the bottom of forums.steinberg.net/about says: “In the event of a critical issue or urgent matter affecting this site, please contact <URL of Steinberg main page>.” That link isn’t very helpful. You’d expect to find an email address here, or at least a link to a contact form.

  2. There’s a dead link in the forum FAQ. The “Powered by You” heading in the forum FAQ (https://forums.steinberg.net/t/forum-how-to-new-here-read-this/698119) says: “If you have any further questions about how things should work here, open a new topic in the site feedback category <links to https://forums.steinberg.net/c/site-feedback> and let’s discuss!” The site feedback link goes to a 404 page.

  3. So, since I don’t know where else to report this :slight_smile: … Part of the UI doesn’t work in a narrow browser window. When you sign up for the forums for the first time, the Welcome UI expects the browser window to be fullscreen on a horizontal monitor. It breaks down in a vertical monitor or a half-screen browser window.

These functions are blocked for the first few posts. Imagine spambots can do what you tried…
