When having let’s say a 20 piece percussion-section it’s a detective work to find the correct one to adjust for typically volume.
Could selected track (s) please be highlighted in vst-window?
I expect you know one can double-click the names (in your case numbers) at the bottom of each mixer fader and type in a custom instrument name.
Thanks! But I didn’t know, and I cant get that to work. (win 11)
True (sorry)> I was thinking of the Dorico Mixer rather than the NP Mixer.
(I wonder if Arne @Wallander would consider adding that capability in the future.)
I do think that would be a helpful feature in general, although in your particular use case above if you’re just using NotePerformer, it won’t make much of a difference since NP’s mixer is internal to its plugin, which is routed out of one Dorico mixer channel. In short, if you want NP to highlight your selected instrument, it would more likely be a request for Wallander and I’m not entirely sure if a VST plugin would have the technical capability to connect to that part of the software (i.e., selected staves). Worth asking though!
Ah. Yes, that could be the case
We have another solution for NotePerformer 5.
The channel displays the last played sound as the name, e.g., “Snare drum” instead of the generic “Orchestral percussion,” so they’re easily identifiable.
That’s awesome.
ETA?
I don’t have an ETA yet, but in the worst case, after this summer.
