FR : Independent music frames

The fact of the matter is, the desired functionality already exists. And the desired result can be achieved multiple ways (all of which are described above). The op just doesn’t want to use them.

The “op”, I, already uses a workaround, and replied to 2 other suggestions that he will try them.
Now to avoid your passive aggressive tone you could have read those replies, and as well the fact that this is a feature request topic, I was already aware of one workaround and I have two more that I said I’ll try.
Once again many features have been requested on this forum and appeared along the years, that’s the point. Next time maybe take the time to read before commenting ?

I did read the entire thread, and I find it baffling, because there’s no need for your FR, because the feature already exists. It just takes a lot of manual configuration (to follow Marc’s example). There has been many discussions in the past about doing things the “dorico way” and those ring a bell to my mind now. I’m not trying to be offensive; but I just don’t see the point in your request when what you already want to do is perfectly achievable.

Well if you read Marc’s answer and Klafkid’s one then you’d notice we’re at least 3 people in need of something that would be less complex to setup.
Yes it’s perfectly achievable, like most things in Dorico, the point of feature requests and of a software evolving over time is for most complex tasks and workarounds to be easier and quicker don’t you think ?
Just take all the things that were perfectly achievable in Dorico 1 with workarounds and that now can be done in a matter of seconds in v5 if you don’t believe me…

Oh yess, I was forgetting this powerful option (not good to answer topics late night  ). Today I refreshed my knowledge also with this great video by @Anthony_at_Steinberg (for whom may be interested  ) :
