FR: Modifier Keys

One of the great things with Nuendo is the key commands and macros. However, is it possible that we could get more out of it if we had another “layer” or two to modify keys?

Suppose you like to use the numeric keypad for marker locating etc, using the “ctr”, “alt” and “shift” keys to have each key do different things. Well, if you now would like to add one more feature “layer” you’re out of modifier keys. It would be pretty cool to be able to take one key and define it as a “layer shift” key. So if one never uses the “F12” for example, that could be a layer key. Hit it by itself and it does nothing, but hit “F12”+“1” and you have an assigned function.

For anyone using programmable keyboards it’d be even better… so to speak…

Just a thought…
