FR: signpost for hidden barline

Admittedly I’m doing this in a hacky way, but when I need a hidden barline, I set the dash length to 0 and use a dashed barline.

The problem is that the barline is no longer selectable, unless I change to an explicit single barline and then edit that one.

It would be helpful to show a signpost for barlines when they’re entirely hidden. Not sure if the workaround I’m using means this isn’t the best solution; open to suggestions. Thanks.

I’m just curious. Why not just remove the barline instead of tweaking a dashed barline so that it doesn’t show? Do you still need the horizontal space of the barline?

Because when I break the system at that point, I need note spacing handles to the right of the last note, so there needs to be an invisible barline there.
