Free wav to mp3 convertor?

Hi,

I recently exported a song I mixed in Cubase as a .wav file.
When I tried to convert it to mp3 format, an error message popped up saying the file type is not valid.
However, this has worked fine in the past.

Does anyone know of any decent free wav to mp3 convertors that definitely work?

If it’s worked in the past, it may simply be that this time you’ve exported using a wav setting that your existing converter does not recognise.

Always export to *.wav and convert to 192bps with Formatfactory.
