yesterday was the first time I have had to use a freeze function in 5 years. It crashed my cubase 9.5.41 immediately. Any workaround for this?

There was an interesting thread about this topic few days ago. The workaround recommendation was to Solo the track you want to freeze first, and then freeze.
Does it work to you?
