I got a freeze while trying to deactivate my OZONE or KRAMER TAPE plugin on my master-bus.
It froze on one of these two Alt+clicks
I drive my system on high performance demands so I guess there might be an overload ?

I see the ntdll!NtWaitForSingleObject and KERNELBASE!WaitForSingleObjectEx frequently on my system’s freezedumps, though most frequently being just above a bunch of Kontakt entries in the call stack. And I think I get those freezedumps pretty much every time I start Kontakt for the first time in a Cubase 12.0.40 session. I’m guessing there is some timeout Cubase sets that is not long enough for how ungodly long Kontakt takes to load on my system.
I’ve also seen the same two entries at the top of the call stack when Kontakt has not been involved, though, similar to how it is in your call stack, where it is mostly direct Cubase addresses in there, but also the two system calls that are further down in the stack. I don’t recall the context of how I’ve seen these, though. (I do use a bunch of Waves plugins, including Kramer Tape, as well as Ozone 9’s Maximizer at times, but the odds that I was using either at the time of getting this form of call stack in the freezedump are probably small. Odds of using Waves plugins would be much larger.)

Hi,
There is no 100% source of the freeze but there is a very high probability that Vienna Ensemble Pro is causing the freeze. 33 Threads are waiting on the network to receive something.

sadly not. VePro is my main VST in my Template.
Also this happens not every time.

The issue seems to be related to the network connection. Could you try the following, please:
- If connected via wifi, try connect via cable.
- If connected via cable and multiple switches try connect the Vienna and cubase system to the same switch.
- Contact Vienna support how to deal with network issues.
I am on a LAN network on a 2GB switch.
The slaves are controlled via RDP (remote desktop)
The slaves have no internet connection for sec.reasons (gateway deactivated).
The system runs usually very smoothly in this setup.
Also those plugins are connected to my master and no further VePros are on that bus.
