I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. I would like to cut everything that is, say, below 100z of a 96 KHz / 24 bit file. I use the frequency selection tool. Here, whatever I do, it doesn’t work. I try with the cut special, but when I go to mute the track created with the frequencies below 100 Hz, I see that all the information remains even in the main layer. In fact, with a spectrum analyzer, nothing has changed. It must be said that the file was created with Cubase, after consolidating the track. If I do the same operation with any other file, everything works. I tried both in ARA and in standalone, same result. Spectralayers does not cut my frequency selection. No problem with other types of selection, instead.
screen shots would help
you are cutting the selection you want to mute to another layer and muting that layer you do not want to hear?
if you can see it on the spectrogram; you should be able to hear it with SL
Yes, anyway neither the delete tool seems to work.
Everything works on audio file not created by Cubase. That’s weird.
I will post them as soon as I came back to studio tomorrow.
