Is it possible to jump from a part with an endless loop directly to the last part while the part is playing using a midi command?
more precisely: the endless looped part should be played to its end and then the last part should be played as the final chord.
At the moment I can only select “last part” or “next part” when the song is not playing.
I know how to set the midi commands.
Is my wish even possible?
You have to activate flexloop with end of loop option to be able to swap parts while transport is playing. Click on the loop symbol on top of playlist header to highlight it, so the function is on nb: only present in V2 not V1 (here you can select the loop exit strategy at the end of the loop). I do this on a song and it works perfectly).

But I still can´t swap to the last part.
The looped part is running, I´m pressing the midi command and the last part lights up for 1/10 sec but at the end of the loop it just jumps to the beginnig of the loop.
BUT: when I click on the last part with the MOUSE the last part lights up constantly and it is played when the looped part comes to its endpoint. That’s how it should be with a midi command…how do I get there? What am I doing wrong?
Yes, I’m using VST live pro 2 (Version 2.0.20.140 did’t update because of all the bug reports)
Do it work if you press down arrow ? Default Key shotcut assigned to next part. If so the problem is in how you set up the midi command. I use a usb footswitch assigned to F4 key press so i bypass midi command.
You are not doing anything wrong. It’s a bug, fixed with the next update (presumably, tomorrow).
It would not work either, as the action command doesn’t make it through, same as with MIDI.
That’s a bad idea. “All” the reports point to Multiprocessing, switch it off for now and you should be fine.
We are continuously fixing bugs, so unless a specific problem holds you back, you are well advised to use the latest greatest. If it doesn’t work out for you, you can go back anytime, but judging from reports only may get you more trouble than just trying it by yourself.
Strange … it worked for me on 2.0.23 with keypress during rehersal. I have 1st part no loop, second part infinite loop, 3rd part no loop. It switched regularly from 2nd to 3rd part with F3 key press (on a pedal footswitch usb)
It only doesn’t work when you are in a loop and want to jump.
Ah ok, i set flexloop to move at the end of the loop, not at the bar end, so it explais why for me it’s working.
Nb: it is working with transport on and while in a part with infinite loop playing, then i keypress next part, and it switches at the end of loop as requested
