Still trying to find an easy way to automate display of .PDF files during song play, like an autocue.
Sadly enough, only VST viewer can handle .PDF and this viewer can only controlled by midi. Sending CC by keyboard or miditrack will forward to the next page, zoom etc.
Thats nice, but it would be better if it could be linked to a song locator. If I now jump to a previous or futher part in a song (like during rehearsal)VST viewer doesn’t follow this and I have to manually set it to the corresponding song position.
The VST viewer can be used at “Globals” for the whole project or “Parts”. In “Globals” this means if I have a project with 20 songs, I have to feed VST viewer with one PDF with a lot of pages. How am I gonna keep track of i’m on the right page if I skip or jump back to another song in the project? Besides that, Is it possible to make a more flexible option to use viewer on a song instead of only “parts” of “Globals”?
VST viewer consists in fact of 2 screens; the editor and the white actual viewer screen, which is bit confusing. Why does always the editor have to be enabeled (open editor on activation)to have the white viewer screen visable? Once I enable “break out” in the editor, I don’t need it anymore.
The viewer screen stays visible once it’s been used. When a new viewerscreen is activated, it is usually put over the old screen depending where you put it. The next is put on top of that. Can the old screens be erased, when that viewer is no longer used?
The editor screen is sizeable but the shown pdf and knobs do not resize properly when zooming
We couldn’t reproduce the problem on our side. Can you tell us which Windows Screen Scale you’re running (100%, 125%, 200%, etc.)? Are you using multiple monitors, and do you move the Viewer between them? If so, are they set to different scaling values?
That’s not possible at the moment. However, we might add an option to show or hide the header view. This way, the main editor could be used as a PDF-only viewer.
I don’t quite get this one — could you explain a little more? Screenshots would be super helpful.
We need to add an option so that Modules can be used as Shared Modules . That way, you could open a VST Viewer as a Module in Part 1 and then load the same Module as Shared in Part 2.
You can use a MIDI Track to control the Viewer with CC messages. In addition, VST Live should also allow you to use an Automation Track to control Modules.
