Hi all,
I’ve been experiencing an issue where instruments I save via the pad right-click context menu (“Save as Instrument”) do not appear on the Instruments tab of the Load Panel under User content.
Here’s what I’ve confirmed:
- The .vstpreset files ARE being saved correctly to: /Users/[username]/Library/Audio/Presets/Steinberg Media Technologies/Groove Agent
- Dragging the .vstpreset file directly from Finder onto a pad works as expected
- The Instruments tab shows no user content at all, even with Factory Content deselected
- I’ve tested this in both Groove Agent 6 and Groove Agent SE 6 with the same result
- There doesn’t appear to be a Rescan Disk button visible anywhere in the Load Panel (I’ve checked thoroughly and confirmed it doesn’t appear in the GA6 manual either)
It seems like the Instruments tab simply isn’t indexing the user content folder, and there’s no way to trigger a rescan to force it to pick up newly saved files.
The drag-from-Finder workaround is functional but not ideal for a smooth workflow.
Has anyone else run into this? Is there a solution I’m missing, or is this a known bug in GA6?
