Generic Audio driver loading instead of Yamaha driver

Does anyone have the problem that Cubase drops the driver for their interface and loads the generic audio driver? I continue to have this with Cubase 11 Pro and my Yamaha AG03v2 interface.

I am only aware of the problem when the latency becomes very poor. When I try to reload the AG03 driver, I find it is not on the extensive list of Yamaha drivers in the control panel list. Any suggestions?

What exactly do you mean, please?

Are you on Windows or Mac?

I have a Yamaha AG06 and I’m on Mac. In Cubase 14, I always get the expected ASIO driver for this device.

I am on Windows 11. Perhaps if I upgrade to Cubase 14 it will be better. But I can never understand why the audio driver changes to generic audio for no obvious reason. When the Yamaha driver is loaded all is good.

I would try a different cable. Interfaces usually get dropped if they are disconnected or lose power.

Yep….cables or incorrect USB power management settings are most likely causes your interface gets dropped.
