I’ve been working on projects that were solid on C14 are often freezing after working on them for a bit in N15. They are totally solid in C15 though.
Sometimes it doesn’t happen at all, but often it does, when doing a variety of things. I haven’t had time or a chance to start a new project from scratch in N15. At this time I can’t work on it due to this, unfortunately, so I’m hoping I can figure out what’s going on. Anyone experiencing this?
Maybe it’s because I have to force quit, but I can’t seem to find any crash logs.
EDIT: I’m on Mac Sequoia.
You didn’t mention which OS you are using.
If Windows, you can get a crash dump from a hung process using Task Manager. Right-click the process.

Sorry, didn’t mention I’m on Mac, just changed the post.
Thanks for that, though!
Hello @Electriks, the next time when you have the freeze, can you please
- open the Activity Monitor and make sure that the “CPU” tab is selected
- in the right upper corner search for the app name, for example “Cubase” or “Nuendo”
- select the app
- Open the “System Diagnostic Options” menu and select “Spindump”
- once the Spindump is created save it to a location on your hard disk
If you sent me the spindump I’ll have a look…
Best regards,
Erich
Thank you Erich. When I’m done with this project over the next couple of days I will do that in N15 for sure.
