The problem I’m having is as mentioned in the description. I am a new user to Cubase and I am working on getting my hardware connected. I check control room and it sees that my “phones“ are going through the audio device of the Steinberg built in ASIO driver with the Device port being my 2i2. when I check my outputs section of the control room I see the only bus is stereo out with audio device not connected and device post not connected either. When I play the samples I put into the project through the monitor sound does play but not when I play them through the interface. If anyone knows a work around or fix for this please let me know.
Welcome, @deathlightsparkle
When using the Control Room, this is recommended,
I’m not sure that I got the issue : What is “device post” ?
If I understand well, your monitors do give sounds but not your headphones. What would help are, in the Studio > Audio Connections window, screenshots of both your ‘Outputs’ and ‘Control Room’ panel. As shown below, when the latter is in use, the best is to :
- set the ‘Stereo Out’ bus to Not Connected in the Outputs panel.
- be sure that, in the Control Room one, all the available busses outputs needed are connected to hardware ones.
So, let’s see your own configuration related to this. ![]()
I have a problem, here : your control room Phones bus seems connected to the line outputs, on the rear of your unit.. ![]()
Could you show us, additionaly, your Studio > Studio Setup > Audio System > [ASIO driver] panel ? This, to see the list of the available device audio ports, as there should be two dedicated ones for your headphones set.
good news, I figured out the problem on my own so I no longer need this thread.
Glad it’s fixed! Maybe consider explaining what the problem was so that others may benefit from your solution if they encounter the same issue, please.
Indeed, and this thread should also be marked as solved. This said, and seeing last @deathlightsparkle screenshot, I am wondering why the use of the Steinberg Built In ASIO driver instead of the native Focusrite one… ![]()
