Glissando is lost during condensing

Dear Dorico developers,

I just stepped over an issue within the new condensing feature. Some of the glissandos of the trombones are missing in galley view. (They are missing in Engrave mode and later in the print as well.)

See the screenshots

I don’t know if this is a known problem.

Best regards, Felix

Yes, I’m afraid glissandos (and, rather less commonly-needed, guitar bends) do not currently draw over system breaks when condensed. This is something we will address in a forthcoming update, as soon as we can.

Daniel,

thanks for the confirmation. Does this known problem implies the 1st missing glissando in the bar before the system break as well?

Many thanks and best regards,
Felix

That I’m not sure about, but I expect so, yes.

Is there a workaround for this? I’m losing glissandos on condensed staves as well. (Mine do not cross system breaks.) Once condensed, I don’t see a way to add the gliss back in.

Glissandos shouldn’t go missing in general when condensed, only in specific circumstances involving spanning system breaks. Can you cut down your project to just the affected instruments and a handful of bars, and attach it here?

Daniel, I just sent you a private message. Thanks!

Hello,
I’m reviving this thread because I’m having the same problem: glissandi lines going missing in condensed Divisi staves. Screenshots here of the passage in page layout and in galley view. I wondered if there was a trick or something that is blocking the glissandi from being displayed? They are only missing before the frame break (circled red)…
