Good news - Latency improvement in Windows 11

I have been struggling to reduce latency inherent in my new system for a couple of months.
See this thread for the discussion and steps taken - which I hope are mostly behind me :

Things appear to have changed enormously due to the Windows update that was automatically applied early morning on the 15th May.

2024-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version23H2 for x64-dased Systems (KB 5037771)

This updated a brand new ntoskrnl.exe - which is now version 10.0.22621.3593. Since that pretty much controls all the other processes this should be interesting!

Previously - nvlddmkm.sys and dxgkrnl.sys were the biggest culprits according to LatencyMon. This is no longer the case! They are now apparently within very acceptable limits!

The average and maximum latencies are better than they have ever been so far:-

I will be testing more over the next few days - but things look VERY promising so far.

For those of you that hate to do any Windows updates in case they make things worse - this might be one to do that make Cubase A LOT better. Fingers crossed…
