GPU makers AMD and NVIDIA are finally solving their audio issues

Only a couple of weeks ago, Nvidia Software QA Manager said DPC Latency Fix was ready to launch. This, after years of DPC issues with Nvidia cards.

On the AMD side, its latest (July 25th) driver update, Adrenalin 23.7.2 release notes state: “Fixed Issues: -Audio may intermittently become out of sync with video when recording from AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition with AVC and HEVC codecs.”

Another long standing issue.

These recent news show how these companies are finally bringing the Audio and Video processing world into their focus.

Great news, if this really happens! Us not buying them may have also been influential.

DPC latency fixes is always welcome in gfx drivers. I’ve not bought af gfx card yet, as one of the reasons not buying a dedicated card has been, that I was scared of raised DPC latency.

Maybe this is over now :slight_smile: I hope so.
