Grahics card?

my graphics card ( gforce210 ) is now giving up the ghost ( bless it . . it owes me nothing )
can anyone suggest a sensible non overkill modern replacement . . .
the most intensive video would be vegas pro
system : intel core i7 9700f / 16G ram / win11 / cubase13
thanks reg

I personally bought the MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 a while back (cost me £520 at the time).
In additon to Cubase, I am also using Spectralayers Pro 11, using the GFX unmixes songs in around 20% of the time compared to the CPU (AMD 5950X with 64GB of RAM).
So a mid-tier gaming GFX is probably something you should look if you can afford it, at as no doubt more software will be utilising the GFX, maybe even Cubase will offer a feature in the near future to offload some of the workload to the GFX.
More affordable option is the 4060 or even the 3X generation. Not sure about the AMD, but I guess if you’re not bothered for gaming or utilising the GFX for other tasks, get the cheapest option you can find, 2nd hand even.

I also recently changed from Intel on-board to NVIDIA 3050 as a compromise between cost and utility. Previous generation cards are available at good prices, just be careful not to buy from a second-hand bitcoin farm.

New 4060s are rapidly falling in price now too, and are more than powerful enough for Cubase/SpectraLayers (recommend 8GB VRAM).

If NVIDIA, one important thing: uninstall ALL video drivers and reboot while disconnected from the internet, then install only the NVIDIA “Studio” driver, driver only.

thanks for the suggestions . . . . finished up getting an RADEON RX50 which has uptodate win11 drivers /4G . . . (this computer is used for audio only)
