I bought GA 5 with my hard earned money.
Why am I not allowed to run a version 5 bug fix release with the license I bought on my elicenser dongle?

Assuming you already had a GA5 license, you can still run GA 5.1.11 using only the license on the USB-eLicenser, even though it may look like this:

You can prove this by running Steinberg Activation Manager (SAM) and you will see this:

So even though the update has enabled Steinberg Licensing for GA5, it doesn’t require to be activated in SAM.
