Groove Agent 5 Standalone and Plug-in Where is the Rescan Disk button?!

Groove Agent 5 Standalone and Plug-in Where is the Rescan Disk button?!

Media Bay in Cubase. Locate the folder where it’s located, right click and “rescan”

Thanks! I did that and everything is showing up except Simon Phillips Jazz Drums. It’s installed, it’s in Library Manager, and it’s activated but it just does not show up in Groove Agent 5 or SE. Steinberg Licensing not eLicenser. I can’t figure this out.

Same here …

I thought it was just me. Thanks. It’s been driving me nuts.

Will Do!

Done!

@reberclark the above worked for me (thanks @Easto !) – can you try this?

It’s very counter-intuitive that you have to run Cubase to fix a problem with Groove Agent.

I thought I tried this but without success. I will try again and report back.

I just bought Ambient Lounge for groove agent and same problem, it doesn’t show up but in the library manager it shows up in the Cubase/Nuendo tab not groove agent tab.

What to do? I deleted it and the media bay preferences downloaded again and same. I do not see a rescan disk tab! Is it moved?

The rescan disk is in right-click options in Media Bay in Cubase. Hope that helps

Tried it again and it worked in both Standalone and in the VST. Covered in this thread: Simon Phillips missing - #3 by reberclark

I can’t find the rescan button too. When I go to the MediaBay and rightclick on the missing Simon Philips Jazz drums I don’t see the rescan button. I only get the options of Select All, Select None and Show in Explorer. I miss a lot of libraries compared to Groove Agent in Cubase 13. I have now Cubase 15 Pro. Can you show me where I can find the rescan button?

OK, in Cubase press F5 to open the Media Bay.

Open up “This Computer” …

… and navigate to the disk location of your Steinberg Content:

Right-click on “Content” and select “Rescan disk” and leave Media Bay open, as it seems to take some time.

Then go back up, open out “VST Sound” and navigate to the missing library:

Right click on Simon Philips Jazz Drums and “Rescan disk” again:

There may be quicker or better ways to do this, but that’s what worked for me.
After that, I can see 53 “items” listed.

I had to do this again after the Cubase 15/Groove Agent 6 SE upgrade, so there’s clearly still something wrong with this Expansion.

Hi, thanks for your reply! I opened in the MediaBay ‘This Computer’ and navigated to the drive where the content is for Simon Philip Jazz Drums (In my case: e:/Steinberg/win64). When I rightclick on that map I don’t get the option of Rescan disk and I also don’t see that button in the Mediabay. (see screenshot). What did I miss? Do you see that Rescan Button on this Screenshot?

You’re not in Media Bay there. Go to the main menu of Cubase | Media | Media Bay, or press F5:

Great,I found the Media Bay and the rescan button. I clicked on the Rescanbutton (nothing special showed up) and than I went back with the arrow up to find that VST sound map. Can you help me find that Soundmap?

Found that too! I got the 53 results. (Did a rescan in the main screen of the MediaBay too), re-opened Cubase 15 and the Groove Agent SE 6, and it works!! Thank you so much!

Another question… I tried to rescan all the Groove Agent libraries and in total (with the extra packages I bought together with what’s included in Groove Agent SE 6 I have 590 styles (I think that is what that number means in Groove Agent. Is that what is normal? (I remember I had in an earlier version about 2000 styles)
