Hello! Is there any way I can move my Groove Agent 5 but also various other Steinberg Sound licenses licences from the E-Licenser USB Dongle to the “Steinberg Activation Manager” instead? Thanks in advance.

have you already checked the Vouchers section of your MySteinberg account? You should have received vouchers for Groove Agent 5 and several libraries to register them with the new licensing system.

that’s too bad. Maybe they removed the vouchers after the shutdown of the eLicenser servers. Is Groove Agent 5 listed in the Produkte section of your account? Here’s how the entries look in my product list:
Perhaps someone at Steinberg can give us some information about whether it is still possible to get a free update to the new licensing system.

That is pretty strange.
I own a working version of Groove Agent 5 which is working fine without any USB Dongle at my home studio / office computer #2 at the moment. I just tested it by unplugging the dongle.
The same piece of software was reporting a missing license on another computer #1, my main machine, in my recording studio in another building, though.
Groove Agent 5 is not showing up in my account neither but loading all content properly. I have to double check what happened but will contact Steinberg too.

Hi Heiko,
that’s strange. Did you buy Groove Agent separately or as part of the Absolute bundle? In the latter case, Groove Agent wouldn’t show up as a separate product. Instead there’s only a single entry for the Absolute license that allows you to run all bundled products without the need (or the possibility) to activate them individually.

I double checked my books online again. I purchased an ABSOLUTE 4 Instrument Collection crossgrade from HALION 6 in 2019. What ever that consisted of.

that sounds somewhat promising. However, Absolute 4 still requires the eLicenser. Did you update to Absolute 6 at some point? What licenses does the Steinberg Activation Manager show? Is Absolute activated there? Since Groove Agent runs without the dongle, there must be a recent license present that covers GA as well.
