Hi Guys. I have done absolutely everything to remove the only remaining “Trial Expiration” annoyance whenever I launch Cubase Pro 8. I have used the terminal to remove packages and expired licences etc. I just simply CANNOT remove this message from Cubase 8 Pro whenever I launch the program… Can somebody please help??? See attached Error… Cheers…
I’ve had the same problem. After some experimentation, I found which two files to delete.
On a Mac, the path of the directory is:
“Your System Disc”/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Content"
The file names are:
– FCP_SMT_138_Groove_Agent.vstsound
– FCP_SMT_144_GA_Presets.vstsound
This has been pissing me off for some years now… I tried to remove it several times and it never works so, I just kept accepting it and clicked ok to continue opening the program.
Today I found this topic and followed the instructions and bingo…It worked!!
I only saw FCP_SMT_144_GA_Presets.vstsound in the “content/Vstsound” folder and I removed it and Cubase Pro 8 opens like normal…
Thanks You for this solution!!
Where to find it in WIN? Any idea?
Never mind, found it, thanks.
