Groove Agent SE 5 tab not displayed in SLM

Hi everyone, I have an issue regarding downloaded items not showing up in the Steinberg Library Manager.

The Library Manager is not displaying the Groove Agent SE 5 tab, nor can I access any of the Groove Agent kits when opening Groove Agent (it’s blank).

The accompanying picture should show you more details. In case it’s relevant, I’m a Cubase 14 Pro user, using a Dell XPS 15 9560 laptop (Win10).

I have already tried many suggestions from other posts, including re-installing Groove Agent, Library Manager, Download Manager, restarting computer.

Thank you guys,
-Richard

All I can think of is to try re-registering them - locate one of the GA library containers, double-click it to open it in the SLM and see what happens. You’ll either get a dialogue saying that they are already registered, or you’ll be offered the opportunity to register them.

Sorry it’s late.

Thanks for the response mate! I tried your suggestion, and the messages shown are that they’re already registered. It was worth a try though, so thanks.

Hi, what products do you have licenses for? GA and GA SE libraries are not same products apparently, – according to Stenberg support. i discovered that the hard way.

Hi, & sorry for the late reply. I only have the SE license, so I only want to get SE working (the free stuff that comes with Cubase). Unfortunately none of the sounds are available for me.

As the pictures shows, the Download Assistant does recognise Groove Agent SE is installed, but the Library Manager does not recognise it. The Library Manager should be showing the Groove Agent tab where the long arrow is pointed.

I am not a power user, but I’ve been looking at your problem and I can’t come up with anything. Have you tried downloading them to the default location and installing them there? Sorry, but that’s all I got. You might need to contact Steinberg on this one.

Thanks for the suggestion Easto, I certainly appreciate it!

Although Cubase itself is installed on my main C Drive HD, my other stuff, such as Groove Agent, Halion, & all the sound libraries are installed on my other drive due to available memory space. (E.G. Groove Agent’s basic content alone is over 6GB.)

Also, in my picture above, there are 4 tabs showing “Halion”, “Cubase/Nuendo”, “Padshop”, and “Retrologue” which are all recognised. Everything, including Groove agent has been installed in the same location, which is why I can’t work out why if all the others are recognised, then why Groove Agent isn’t recognised.

I have contacted Steinberg, and am waiting for a response. Fingers crossed for a reply

it should not matter. as long as the ML can see the path to where the GA content is and can scan it. Check permissions on the folder and files if its installed on a separate disk drive or volume.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I’ve made sure all permissions are turned on with the folders relating to Groove Agent, but unfortunately no change. Thanks though mate.
