Groove Agent SE - no matter what I do cannot get the metronome to sound

Looking for help. Trying to get the metronome to sound in Groove Agent SE to record realtime into a pattern. I tried everything that the manual states, videos, etc. Nothing seems to solve the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW also did a new install. Still can’t get it to sound. The metronome works fine with other aspects of Cubase.

Can you hear the metronom at all in Cubase? Which Cubase version do you use?
In case you have the Pro version and use the Control Room: Can you check if the click icon is activated like this, please?
