On SE5 you click on the Omni button at bottom and it solves this problem. Not sure about SE6.

I was testing it too. Well, as the midi ports itself are ingenious (Hello, Native Instruments!), the new procedure where you’d have to switch instead of pushing the midi symbol - hmmm, that’s not obvious or very intuitive.
