Couple of observations that I’d like solved or confirmed.
1 - Group Folder tracks do not always offer volume as an automation option.
This seems to be regardless of whether I’ve converted a previous Folder track containing tracks to a Group Folder track, or created a new Folder, made it a folder track, and then added tracks.
I can recreate this by creating a blank project, adding a folder, making it a group folder, clicking on the down arrow to open automation - for me it’s set to mute and I can’t change it. Adding instrument tracks to it makes no difference. Can anyone else confirm this?
If I open the automation lane for the Group Folder the selection is “Mute”, I cannot change it to Volume as when I select Volume it doesn’t do anything (stays as Mute). If I change to another parameter (e.g. Send Level) that works fine.
However, after converting my existing template, some Group Folders are showing volume as the default option without a problem and it works as advertised. Can’t see any differences or reason this would be so on some but not others.
2- Group Folders in Mixer. I understand we can’t choose zones for Group Folders, but since I’ve converted my existing template to use Group Folders by enabling Group functionality on existing folders, the resulting Group Folders are shown in the mixer as split between left and middle zone and there’s no way I can change it! Am I missing something here?
3 - Group Folder Automation - Can’t see the down arrow to open the automation lane as it’s presumably overridden by the Folder Open/Close functionality. This means I need to have my folder track showing 2 lines to make that down arrow accessible. Am I missing something here?
@MartinJirsak As ever, I’d value your thoughts on this.
