Is there a way to group staff labels for section players? I only see the option for solo instruments, but is there a workaround that allows you to get the same result for section players? I’m trying to create a score that has some parts condensed onto one staff (i.e. clarinet 2-3), but allows me to split them into individual staves at certain points. If I’m not mistaken, I cannot do this if I’ve set them up as solo players, correct?
Setup one section player holding one instrument, then add a Divisi where you need to change the number of staves. From the Divisi dialog you can do pretty much anything you like with the staff labels.
Thanks for the suggestion. I thought of that for the future, but I’m trying to find a way to do it with an existing score without having to redo everything to get the layout I want.
