Grouping staves

I am working on an ensemble where the voices are above the instruments. How do I group the voices separately from the instruments?

Hey Daniel, Thank you. I managed to bracket the voices but the bar lines won’t connect.

This is standard for vocal staves.

You’ll need to deselect Vocal staff for your instrument in this dialog (see section 4):

here a short video on how to do it manually, as @DanielMuzMurray mentioned (to rejoin the Vocal Staves barlines, you need of course to use the up arrow, instead of down arrow):

Hi @blatboy, it is better not to use joined barlines when lyrics are present. If you use vocal staves * Dorico should disjoint the barlines automatically. Or you can make this manually in Engrave mode (select the barline > select the upper control point > Alt(Option) + down arrow: @blatboy (*) You can visualize/edit the status of the staff (if it is a Vocal staff or not) in the Edit Instrument dialogue clicking, in Setup mode, on the thee little dots near the instrument name, and choosi…
