Referencing the guide above, what are the steps I need to follow to make sure that Dorico Pro 5 can display and understand (playback) each technique, starting with the drum “modifiers”?
That’s rather a big question! In general, the basic gist is that in the Edit Percussion Kit dialog, you select the drum whose techniques you want to modify and click Edit Percussion Playing Techniques. In that dialog, you can define new notehead types and specify what playing techniques they correspond to. For the playing techniques that need additional text or symbols to appear above the staff, you define them in <kbd>Library</kbd><kbd>Library</kbd> > Playing Techniques.
