Guitar slide in angle

Hi everyone,

I’ve searched for “slide in” in the manual but I don’t find a way to move only the angle of the upper slide to make it equal to the bottom one as there are no handles…

(in engraving options > fingering > slide > advanced option there’s a slide in angle value but it’s a default and not note per note)

In case of doubts: I don’t want a full line going from note to note because in the attached example I wouldn’t play a ‘real’ note to note slide (D to E and B to C#) but I would first play low B and upper D then replay both (5th and 2nd) strings with the new notes approaching them with a little slide (hope it’s clear enough  )

Thank you,

Art

Could you use this to alter individual slides?

Just as an aside, do you want the C# played with 4? From the context, it would seem you want 2. (Sorry, but I felt I had to say something!).

Thank you @TonH I know there are handles in long lines slides but inserting this kind from properties panel there are no handles even in engrave mode…

And, as I wrote… (I’ll quote myself  )

HI @rpearl, you’re absolutely right, thank you! My fingering was wrong, the correct one is the following:

because I want all the four notes in the bar keep resonating, like an arpeggio (didn’t want to add more voices, I maybe could add a l.v. but I guess this is clear enough)

The problem with finger 3 is that I can’t get no slide in line even if it’s selected in the properties panel… (p.s. It looks like I have to put finger 3 even in the B note before; Dorico doesn’t like if I change it)

If , in the properties panel, you make both D and E 2nd string you get this …

Is that what you wanted?

Exactly! Thank you once more @andyforrest! I hadn’t considered string indicator (that I also put for B and C#).

Best,

Art

Actually, from the context, it should really be 3 (awkward as that voicing is…) C# is a 1/2 note and the 2nd beat G uses 2.

EDIT: redundant comment … disregard.

It’a common A major inversion, for the truth, and I don’t find this fingering too hard to play, especially because you don’t need to take it all at once but you can put down fingers 1 and 2 one when needed to play them…

I attach a chord diagram…

I’d missed this line
